Student Support Services

N2P2 offers the following support services for all students.
1. Student Orientation
2. Medical Insurance
3. Physical Facilities
4. Mentoring
5. Wireless Internet
6. Emergency Helpline

1. Student Orientation

All students are required to participate in the orientation program. The orientation program comprises of:
i. information about N2P2
ii. information on Singapore laws (for international students only)
iii. information on Singapore Immigration Rules (for international students only)
iv. information on student services provided by N2P2
v. information on courses and fees
vi. information on transfer, withdrawal and refund policies
vii. information on CPE, FPS, student contract and medical insurance
viii. information on grievance and dispute resolution procedures
ix. information on disciplinary matters

2. Medical Insurance

It is compulsory to obtain medical insurance for all international students of N2P2. Local students (i.e. students not requiring student passes) are exempted from buying medical insurance, if they are already covered by their own medical insurance plan. The minimum coverage for medical insurance; annual limit of not less than SGD20,000 per student, at least a B2 ward at a government hospital and 24-hour coverage.
N2P2 has a policy on Group Hospital and Surgical Insurance (Ref. HSBC Hospital and Surgical Insurance).
At the pre-course counselling, students must be explained on the need to buy medical insurance that covers the duration of their courses. Students should also informed on the estimated cost of the insurance coverage per annum. The insurance premiums should be collected at the same time as the school fees. Within 24 hours, Administrator is responsible to buy an individual insurance policy that provides the minimum coverage.
Students must be given an original copy of the medical insurance policy, stating the policy terms and conditions and claim procedures.

3. Physical Facilities

N2P2 provides the following facilities for all its students: Hostel, State of the Art Gym, Tennis Court, Basketball and Futsal Court, BBQ pits (usage of facilities is subject to fees payable to EM Services Pte Ltd) and Cafeteria.
Students should liaise with Administrator for the use of such facilities.

4. Mentoring

N2P2 will assign a mentor for every student to guide him/her along to adapt to the local environment or seek other support services not listed in this document.
Our mentor is normally a lecturer and he/she will serve psychosocial and counselling functions, at the first point of contact.

5. Wireless Internet

Free wireless internet services are provided within N2P2. Registered students can request for password from Administrator.

6. Emergency Helpline

Students can call the emergency helpline at 9696 3739, in the event of emergencies. The number is also listed in the student handbook and the website.
The information on these support services should be made available on both the student handbook and IMA website.
Administrator is the staff in charge to ensure that student services are provided seamlessly to all our students. Training is provided to the Administrator as part of staff training program.
Support services should be regularly reviewed for continuous improvement. The review should be part of half yearly management meetings.
Student feedback has to be formally gathered at half yearly intervals to ensure high standards of service.
